Register for the New Webinar on Persistent Antimicrobial Surface Coatings & Impact on HAIs

Healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) remain prevalent in the United States, and environmental contamination and transmission of key pathogens is a critical target for improving the safety of care delivered. However, current cleaning practices are still sub-optimal. Additional tools are needed to support infection prevention and environmental services’ end goal of a clean, healthy, healing environment.

This webinar, "Novel, Persistent Antimicrobial Surface Coatings: Impact on Healthcare-Associated Infections and Environmental Bioburden," underwritten by Allied BioScience, will explore a study wherein the use of persistent antimicrobial coatings was associated with a persistent reduction in total live bacteria of up to 75 percent and, most importantly, a 36 percent decline in pooled HAI rates across two hospitals. Drs. Sean Elliott and Charles Gerba will discuss these results and their pending publication in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases.
